Make It Rain
Heat lifts water into the air, cooling turns it back into drops, and it falls again.
The sun heats a lake, and warm water rises into the air as vapour. But vapour on its own is not a cloud: the air has to cool before the vapour turns back into drops. Heating alone never makes rain — that is the thing this game is about.
You control the energy. One button adds heat. One button waits, and waiting is what lets the air cool. Rain is only possible once the cloud is heavy enough to fall. Nothing happens on a clock: every change waits for a press, so there is no hurry and nothing to react to.
It gets harder in three steps. First you complete the cycle once. Then you fill a reservoir with a limited number of presses, and heat you waste is heat you cannot spend. Last, the wind carries the cloud from the sea, over the field, to the mountain — and rain that falls on the sea is simply back where it started.
